There are 181 miners trapped beneath flood waters in a Chinese coal mine near a river swollen from heavy rains. They are presumed dead, although pumping efforts continue.

Again, China leads the way in mining deaths and accidents. It seems odd that these miners were not evacuated when the rains started and the river began to overflow. It is almost as if the Chinese government wanted the mines to flood and kill whatever was in them.
