On cable TV for the last few months, there have been countless stories on Discovery and National Geographic channels about the s0-called “preppers”. These people are preparing for all sorts of scenarios of nuclear war, EMP attacks, cataclysmic geological events, civil war, economic collapse, mass epidemics, etc.

The camera crews follow them as they buy supplies, build underground shelters, practice “bugging out”, hide their activities from their neighbors and train shooting weapons and teaching their children how to survive. Then, the “experts” rate them in how well they have prepared and give suggestions on improvements. They often check back weeks later to see what has been corrected.

So, I watch this in wonder and surprise.  I think it is wise to have food and water and other supplies on hand for a 4 to 6 week period, anyway. One never knows what to expect these days.

But, then I ask myself–why would anyone want to survive in a world totally devastated and in ruin? What kind of life would they or their children have? I cannot imagine wanting to live on a planet that is destroyed and with no cohesive civilization left for a future. I would rather just go and be done with it. What is the point surviving on a dead planet!

What are these preppers thinking? Where do they get the money to build such elaborate complexes for survival? Most, if not all of them, live in very small houses with not much as far as luxuries are concerned. If they seek privacy and security–why do they go on TV and tell people what they are doing and where? Makes no sense!

What will they do after all their supplies run out? Do they expect to grow crops in nuclear fall out or in lava? Do they want to spend the rest of their lives fending off marauding survivors, killing other people who are also trying to survive? That’s nice!

Of course, none of the shows even consider what alien influence or arrival may occur after such an event. This planet is heavily watched and controlled. Should humans perish, there would be many others ready to take their places. Yet, that scenario is never discussed. Interesting.

Many of the preppers are very religious and pray all the time. Well, where is their faith in God? Why would they expect such horrors if they believe in salvation and Divine Intervention? I am sure many think that this is God’s way of punishing bad humans who worship Satan. These people believe in the battle between good and evil, yet, prepare to kill their hungry neighbors!

I teach that all is a result of mind-patterns. If you have a victimization pattern, you will attract circumstances that make you a victim. If you KNOW that “God-Mind goes before me. My path is always clear and safe” , then nothing can disturb you. We all need to work on that. True, there are nasty external powers that seek to harm and control people. However, they can have no power over you if you do not have a victimization mind-pattern.

I have traveled to just about everywhere on this globe. There are vast areas of unpopulated land. Huge territories where people could live easily with the proper technology. The world is NOT overburdened. Only minds are.

This week, CNN reported that there could be as many as 300 BILLION earth-like worlds in this galaxy alone! That is a lot of space. Times that by over 100 Billion galaxies and infinite dimensions. There is room and materials for all many times over. it is time for humanity to stop being so critical and condemning of others. It is time to release meaningless borders and restrictions. We are all ONE people. Even animals do not care about the color of the furs of their fellow species members.

Let’s stop fighting and DO something good!
