Ring Of Fire

The Pacific Rim has been hit with many quakes. The following is info gathered by PRESSTV news service:

“A number of quakes ranging from 5.0 to 6.2 on the Richter scale have struck the Pacific Ring of Fire.

On Saturday, two quakes struck the Philippines and earthquakes also occurred in New Zealand, the Santa Cruz Islands, Kuril Islands, and Indonesia’s Sulawesi Island, Xinhua reported.

At 0437 GMT, a 6.2-magnitude quake, with a depth of 98.2 kilometers, hit the southern Philippine island of Mindanao at 12:37 p.m. local time.

At 22:20:28 GMT, a 5.0-magnitude quake with a depth of 5.40 kilometres, hit Sulawesi in Indonesia.

At 22:17:31 GMT, a 5.5-magnitude earthquake, with a depth of 42.90 kilometers, struck the Kuril Islands.

At 18:29:30 GMT, a 5.2-magnitude quake, with a depth of 35.10 kilometres, hit the Santa Cruz Islands region off the coast of Ecuador.

At 15:25:23 GMT, a 5.3-mamgnitude earthquake, with a depth of 57.60, hit the region of the Philippines.

A 6.1-magnitude quake also struck off the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand, which had a depth of 180 kilometers.

There were no immediate reports of any damage or casualties.

The Ring of Fire is known for its seismic and volcanic activity caused by friction between shifting tectonic plates.”

What is missing from the above list? California. It has been too quiet. Mysteriously, the largest pod of dolphins ever seen was spotted off the coast of San Diego, apparently leaving the area! I suspect that some seismic event is looming immediately for California. Possibly Oregon and Washington as well. The US West Coast is the only spot in the Pacific Ring of Fire that is stuck and not moving. Not a good sign. When it finally does go, it will be a doozy!

The dolphin thing is not a good sign. I lived in SD up until last year. I remember the funny “mystery” smell that happened a few years back. It smelled like tar. At that time there were reports of volcanoes off the coast causing that smell, up and down the coast of S CA. Hope S Ca residents prepare. I have been through a few major quakes. Scary to see how people act.

Change is in the air!! Maybe just get a nice hot air balloon to tide things over in case the big one hits….Then we will travel to see you all in MI! How old am I!?

Darrell I live in Edmonds, WA … considered North Seattle. I’ve been watching all the quakes but they have been so minor up here. We are way way overdue for a major shake. It’s got to be at least seven years + since we’ve had the 6.0 ….. I’m about 345feet above sea level so when the big one happens maybe I’ll end up having Puget Sound at my doorstep and I’ll be living right on the beach …. would be nice and I could start digging Geoduck right outside my door. Mostly no one can stand eating them so I will have lots of food.

Janet and I LOVE Geoduck! We get them every time we are in Seattle.

Is this dolphin sighting just part of their new migration? I read something similar happened last year. What a beautiful sight though. :)

I saw Sedona an the Grand Canyon in June of 2001. Sedona is a mountain town with pretty scenery, whose people are in la-la land. The Grand Canyon is a huge hole, and kind of a tourist trap.

          • Stewart says:

My thoughts exactly. Sedona is a fake town propped up by woo-woo and lala. :)

I have heard there are caves in the lower canyon that lead to the inner earth. They may be walled off by now? Lot’s of reptilian energy there
