Running Away Part 2
Developing this quiet, reflection time may be an initial challenge for you. There may be people in your life who have grown to depend upon you. They will be disappointed when you are no longer so available.
You may see activities in the outer world that you could do, but now choose not to do. You may be able to do it better than someone else, You may have to sit back and watch others do it “not so well.”
Let go, let God, and give to yourself. You deserve and owe it to yourself.
Journaling is a great way to give yourself some quiet, reflective time. Write three key words that describe your life at this moment. Take ten minutes to write about just one of those words. There is no need for complete sentences.
Simply jot down your thoughts and feelings. Allow your mind to wander. Take this same word and do it again and again, each time getting into deeper layers. This develops your awareness of what lies beneath your surface. (cont’d)
