Janet, this looks so good! I’m used to the traditional Italian spinach pie so I was really excited to see this “new” way (new for me! LOL). I’m going to try it with some friends – I don’t have an oven that works right now and I will be back to let you know how it came out. Thank you for these videos <3 xx
Janet, do you take the filo right out of the freezer, or do you let it thaw out in the fridge? I always put in the fridge the day before I use it and it unravels a lot better, again I do use Apollo brand filo 🙂
Since I only use a little of it I just let it unthaw on the counter a little and then I use it. If I was going to use all of it I would put it in the refrigerator day before. Thanks for the suggestion! 🙂

Spanakopita! – Janet, you rock! I’ve always wanted to learn how to make spinach pie. As you know, my mom is Greek (my dad’s lebanese) so I was raised with this stuff. Thanks. I look forward to trying it 🙂 I’ve been fidling with Grape Leaves myself – I’ll email you the recipe (although most get grossed out with the idea for some odd reason; eating the leaves that is – wierd).
I”m not a big fan of stuffed grape leaves, but I will eat them on occasion. There are a lot of ways to make Spinach Pie. This way works for me and my family. Play with the recipe and enjoy! 🙂
